To pick up your packet on Friday, please use the 10 Mile Lot off of 10 Mile Circle. If you are staying overnight at Copper Mountain Resort, you will be given a parking pass when you check-in for access to the underground parking structure. Parking is limited this year due to construction.
For those only coming for the day, there will be plenty of parking in the ski area parking lots, which are a short ride from the start line at Eagles Landing Plaza. Download the map.
Registration / Packet Pick-Up
Please pick up your credentials at the Copper Conference Center
Be ready for a spectacular 79-mile loop that crests three Colorado mountain passes – Fremont Pass (11,318’), Tennessee Pass (10,424’) and Vail Pass (10,666’) - for a total elevation gain of 6,500'.
CDOT is building a new bike path up and over Vail Pass, while still using the existing path. Watch out for loose gravel and be cautious of other riders while climbing the pass.
If you want to learn more about the new path click here.
Credentials
Your packet will include a bike plate with a timing chip. Affix this to your handlebars with the included zip ties. Your packet will also include a bib number with safety pins to adhere to your jersey. Please note, the bib number has your meal ticket and raffle ticket on the bottom.
We've got you
We have five aid stations out on course, each one stocked with Skratch hydration, water, fresh fruit, and snacks of both the salty and sweet variety. Enjoy!
Open roads - ride safe!
Copper Triangle is held on open roads with vehicular traffic and marked and unmarked hazards. Though we go to great lengths to make the event as safe as possible, you are only as safe as you ride. Please ride carefully when descending Fremont Pass, Tennessee Pass, Battle Mountain and Vail Pass. There are steep descents, tight curves and the road conditions vary from good to poor. Use caution and control your speed.
Click here to watch out safety video and read up on other safety tips.
Please also be mindful of the environment and wildlife. If you encounter any wildlife on course, please keep your distance. For more info on wildlife encounters click here.
Sag support
SAGs will be on course to help cyclists. However, please be prepared to handle your own flats. If you are unable to climb Vail Pass, please stop at the parking lot at the East Vail Exit for a lift back to the top. Private SAG vehicles are not allowed.
Packing suggestions
Bring a number of layers for all weather including rain, then decide in the morning what to wear and carry. Cool mornings usually become warm afternoons with a chance of showers. We recommend our handlebar bag for on-bike storage.
Fun stuff all weekend
A post-ride lunch is included with your registration. Enjoy live music and the cool Alpine air while eating, perusing the bike expo and partaking in tasty libations courtesy of Oskar Blues Brewing Company.
Lodging check-in
If you booked overnight accommodations at the resort, you may check in anytime after 3 p.m. on Friday, August 5. Check-in is at the Athletic Club / Spa at 509 Copper Rd. Frisco.
