The WILD HORSE has been tamed! What a weekend on the Western Slope of Colorado. We want to take a moment to celebrate those of you who made this year's event possible. To our athletes, exhibitors, sponsors, partners, staff, volunteers, Garfield and Mesa Counties, the BLM and of course the beautiful High Lonesome Ranch... thank you! And a special shout out to Chef Greg and his crew with Stoney Joanie's Catering for keeping everyone fueled and fed.
HOW CAN WE IMPROVE?
We saw a lot of smiles and received some wonderful comments at the ranch, which of course is great to hear. We are always eager to improve however and know that we can. Please take our survey and share your thoughts.
FEELING LIGHT?
Aside from the lbs you shed on Saturday, if missing something else please contact OECS at eventsupport@outsideinc.com or call the ranch at (970) 283-9420.
RESULTS POSTED
In our book everyone is a champ for having completed two of the harder gravel courses in Colorado! As you know though, the long course was timed and those that podiumed split a $5,000 cash pursue. Congratulations to Alexis Skarda and Scott Funston for their first place finish for the women's and men's division respectively. Complete results may be found here.
WITHOUT A PIC, DID IT REALLY HAPPEN?
Get your personal event photos with FinisherPix, the official photographer of Wild Horse Gravel. Your pictures are available here.
RIDE A BIKE, SAVE A HORSE!
A portion of event proceeds benefited the local nonprofit Friends of the Mustangs, which works alongside the BLM to take care of the wild horses in the area. On Saturday, we presented them with a check for $1,000, a gesture made possible by you!
BADGE OF HONOR
Your Wild Horse Gravel t-shirt is a great badge of honor, but did you get one of those stylish hats? If not, shop now while supplies last.
CROOKED GRAVEL
If you liked the challenge of Wild Horse Gravel, you’ll love the huge miles and monster elevation of its sister ride, Crooked Gravel, which starts high in Winter Park and just goes up from there. Join us July 23rd and select between our 30- and 60-mile courses. A $5,000 pursue is up for grabs on the long course!
